Removing Car Radio for iPod Kit Installation

Model: Volvo S40 MK 2 - Years 2004-2012

Using a plastic tool to avoid damaging the bodywork, lever at the base of the tunnel around the gearbox to release the plastic clips and move it to access the securing screws of the radio console. Remove the complete console and disconnect the necessary electrical wiring connectors to install the kit. Prepare the two cables supplied with the kit and insert them into the original connectors, then connect the other ends to the kit's control unit. The control unit must be connected in series to the power cable at the audio aux input. Programme the kit box according to the instructions included with the kit and secure it inside the dashboard by removing the plastic cover on the passenger side. The second box with connectors should be fixed, in an accessible position, under the dashboard with the supplied screws. Refit the cover, ensuring the cables pass through the radio tunnel. Refit the radio by reversing the previous steps.
