Operation: Disassembly and replacement of the ABS control unit

First disconnect the negative pole of the battery located in the rear hood, under the mat, in the rear left part (the upper fixing plate must be removed). The ABS control unit is located just below the fuse keypad in the engine compartment. Then open the front hood and remove the air filter container by unhooking the sleeve connected to the intake manifold, the intake vent near the radiator and the air mass meter socket: the air filter container is removed simply by pulling it towards the top. Then unhook the socket connected to the ABS control unit by pulling the relative fixing safety outwards and unscrew the 4 fixing pins of the control unit to the pump, taking care not to let them fall into the engine compartment. At this point remove the old control unit and apply the new one by tightening the relative fixing pins and reconnecting the socket to the terminal board (it simply hooks up by inserting the safety catch). Finally refit the air filter container. Reconnect the pole to the battery, then turn on the ignition and make sure that the ABS fault warning light on the instrument panel is off.
