To access the ABS pump control unit, it is necessary to remove the air filter container. Unhook the socket connected to the mass air flow meter located near the air filter container and unscrew the tightening screw of the clamp fixing the pipe connected to it. Unhook the 3 fixing tabs of the air filter housing cover, the two vacuum tubes and remove it from its seat. Extract the air filter, disconnect the pipes connected to the filter container and pull it vigorously upwards to remove it from its seat. Remove the keyboard cover and extract the two 30 A fuses from the ABS control unit. In order to access the fixing pins (E5 torx) of the ABS control unit, it may be necessary to move the brake oil pipes connected to the pump by bending them carefully; then unscrew the fixing pins and extract them, taking care not to drop them into the engine compartment. Unhook the socket connected to the control unit, taking care to open the relative fixing safety device as far as it will go, press the tabs of the other socket connected to the side and then extract the control unit.
