Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Volvo S70 MK 1 - Years 1996-2000
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter is located on the passenger side, beneath the glove compartment, just above the footrest: to access the air duct, you need to remove the plastic trim that also acts as a sound barrier; once you reach the duct, unscrew the fixing screws of the filter housing cover and remove the old filter, ensuring there are no dirt residues, and insert the new filter (activated carbon filters are recommended) following the airflow direction indicated by the arrows on the filter itself.
