To replace the timing belt on a Volvo XC60, open the hood to access the left side panel screws of the engine block: underneath, you will find the timing belt around the pulleys. You can remove it by reducing the tension: to do this, loosen the center nut of the tensioner pulley and pull it out of its housing; after the old belt has been removed, you can install the new one around the pulleys and reposition the tensioner pulley to ensure the engine runs correctly.
