The operation of replacing the timing belt on the Volvo XC60 can be carried out by opening the hood, so that it is possible to loosen the fastening screws of the left protective panel of the engine block: underneath it will be possible to locate the timing belt. The latter can be removed by reducing its tension: to do this, it will be necessary to loosen the central nut of the tensioner pulley, removing it completely; once the old belt has been removed, it will be possible to insert the new one around the pulleys, reposition the tensioner pulley and check that everything is functioning properly.
