How do you replace the timing belt of the Volvo XC60?

The operation of replacing the timing belt on the Volvo XC60 is carried out by opening the hood, so that it is possible to loosen the fastening screws of the left protective panel of the engine block: under this panel it will be possible to locate the timing belt. The timing belt can be removed by reducing its tension: to do this, the belt tensioner pulley must be completely removed by loosening the central nut; after the old belt has been removed, the new one can be inserted around the pulleys, reposition the belt tensioner pulley and check its operation.
