How to Repair the Electric Side Mirror on a Volvo XC60 Mk1

This guide shows how to repair the electric side mirror on a Volvo XC60 Mk1. The first step is to remove the plastic cover of the mirror using a trim tool. Next, carefully remove the retaining washer, spring, and lock located on the mirror's pivot pin. Pry off the two plastic clips holding the bottom of the mirror in place to create enough space to extract the mirror body. Remove the control motor, secured by four Torx screws. Now, reposition the locking pin of the mirror by removing the plastic trim; clean out any debris and, using a small nail, extract the pin while being careful with the spring. Clean the lower housing and reassemble everything in place. At this stage, reinstall the mirror as it was before the repair. Finally, use the mirror adjustment control to recalibrate its movement.
