How do you adjust the handbrake of the Volvo XC90?

In order to adjust the handbrake of the Volvo XC90, you need to remove the left side panel of the central tunnel, on the driver's side: once this panel has been removed, you will be able to locate the underlying components. Here you will find the handbrake cable, which needs to be adjusted by tightening or loosening the corresponding bolt: tightening it will make the handbrake harder, and vice versa loosening it will make it softer. After the adjustment, you can reposition the panel in its place, making sure that everything is working correctly.
