To adjust the handbrake on the Volvo XC90, you need to remove the left side protection panel of the center tunnel on the driver's side. Once this panel is removed, you can locate the components underneath.

Here, you will find the handbrake cable, which needs to be adjusted by tightening or loosening the corresponding bolt: tightening it will make the handbrake stiffer, while loosening it will make it softer. After the adjustment, you can reposition the panel in its place, ensuring everything functions correctly.
