To replace the interior temperature sensor on a Volvo XC90, use a tool to pry off the trim around the gear shift. Once this trim is removed, you can proceed to detach the climate control panel by loosening the side and bottom screws.

The internal connector of the sensor can be removed from its housing, allowing you to take it out and replace it with a new part.
