How to Release the Plug-in Charging Cable of an Aiways U5

In this video, we explore a situation that can occur not only for Aiways U5 users but for anyone using a plug-in electric vehicle: at the charging station, the cable won't come out and the automatic release doesn't work. Specifically, open the bonnet using the lever and open the compartment (for habit, we continue to call it the "engine compartment" but there is no engine, of course). The cable connection is behind the grille located under the left front headlamp, which is the one in front of the driver. Under the cover in front of the driver is the 12-volt battery. If you lean in a bit, you can see this white line from the bodywork weld, the orange high-voltage cable. Between these two components, there is a button you can press to release the cable that won't come out of the charging socket; this way, you can pull it away. It's very simple if you know how to do it.
