How to Remove the Steering Wheel on an Alfa Romeo 156

To remove the steering wheel on an Alfa Romeo 156, first disconnect the battery terminals. Insert the removal keys into the slots at the back of the steering wheel and unscrew the pins until the steering wheel is free. Once the airbag is detached, disconnect its power connectors and remove it from the steering wheel. Unscrew the large central pin and take the steering wheel off the column. For reassembly, insert the steering wheel onto the steering column and tighten the nut, then reconnect the airbag power connector and press it back onto the steering wheel, securing the retaining pins.
