How to remove and replace spark plugs on Alfa Romeo 156? Let’s see how to proceed: open the engine bay and lift the front bonnet, secure it, and disconnect the battery terminals. Remove the soundproofing panel covering the engine; using a screwdriver or pliers, remove the coils from the cylinder head and then unscrew the spark plugs with a socket wrench (pull them out of the cylinder head). Take the new spark plugs and guide them with the socket extension into the engine head, tighten them and connect the power coils to each spark plug with new cables. Refit the engine cover and close the engine bonnet. Test their proper functioning.
