Before starting, open the bonnet of your Alfa Romeo 147. Begin by removing all hoses and manifolds positioned above the starter motor by loosening the respective fixing bolts. Next, remove the bolts that secure the starter motor to its housing.

This will free the starter motor itself. Then, disconnect the electrical connector.

At this point, extract the starter motor from the engine bay, and you will have completed the disassembly.
