Removal of Radiator and Front Bumper

Model: Audi A6 MK 2, C5 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Radiator

Using a ratchet wrench, start removing the screws from the engine cover, beginning at the fender. The anchor points are distributed around the bumper and underneath the vehicle. Remove the radiator feed hose and use a wrench to stop the coolant from flowing. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the cooling fans and the remaining hoses. Pull the plastic grilles from the bumper to access the retaining screws. Move the bumper away and begin freeing the front end by unscrewing the screws that secure it to the body. Remove the coolant reservoir. A service tool allows you to move the entire front end without having to completely disassemble it. With the front end in this position, you can now access the radiator for removal.
