How to replace the rear brake pads on an Audi A1

In this video, we see how to replace the rear brake pads of an Audi A1 with a mechanical parking brake: first, we remove the rear wheels, simply unscrew the upper bolt of the caliper, and then the one at the bottom; we lever to move the caliper away from the disc and the pads will fall to the ground on their own. Before reassembling the new pads, however, we will need to retract the piston, and for this we will need a kit, which we can purchase for example on eBay with the code 176862442940 at a price of 18.24 euros, free delivery. We insert the retractor inside the caliper, and tighten it until it reaches the lower dead point. At this point, we can put the new pads, bring the caliper back to its place and tighten both bolts. We can reassemble the wheel, do the same job on the other side and then press the brake pedal several times to return the piston to its place.
