How to Replace the Thermostat on an Audi A4

Before you begin, open the hood of your Audi A4. Start by removing the upper engine cover by simply disengaging it. Next, drain the cooling system to prevent spills during disassembly. Once the system is drained, unscrew the bolts that secure the thermostat cover located behind the alternator. After removing the securing bolts, you can take off the cover to access the thermostat. To remove it, simply pull it out, and you will have completed the disassembly. To install the new thermostat and reassemble everything, just follow these instructions in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
