Replacing Front Shocks

Model: Audi A4 B6 - Years 2000-2004
Part: Shocks

To replace the front shocks, you first need to have the appropriate clamps that allow you to compress the spring so you can remove the shock mount; start by lifting the vehicle on a lift and removing the front wheel; continue by removing the tie rod end from the steering box and those from the upper suspension control arm; at this point, remove the mounting pin of the shock from the lower control arm, then move to the engine compartment and unscrew the nuts that secure the support plate to the body strut; once the shock is removed from its seat, apply the clamps to the spring to compress it and remove the mount while also sliding off the boot to apply it to the new shock, proceeding in reverse for installation.

How to Replace the Fuel Pump on an Opel Corsa C

Usually, upon the first ignition of the dashboard, a sound similar to a spray can be heard from the rear of the cabin: this is the fuel pump pressurising the system and preparing to supply fuel to the engine for ignition; if this sound is not heard, start by checking the integrity of the relevant power fuse, and if it is intact, verify that voltage reaches the power connector; if current is present, you can also try powering the pump directly to confirm it is faulty; replacing it is very simple, just disconnect the connector and hoses, then unclip the retaining ring and remove it to replace it with a new one.
