How to Replace the Tie Rod Ends on Audi A4 B6

In this video tutorial, you can see how to replace the tie rod ends on an Audi A4 B6 by following a few simple steps: first, lift the front of the vehicle with a hydraulic jack and then place jack stands under the vehicle; using a 17 mm socket wrench, loosen the nuts on the front wheel. Raise the vehicle and completely unscrew the wheel nuts, then remove the wheel; clean the fastening element that connects the tie rods to the steering knuckle with a wire brush and WD-40 spray. At this point, using a 13 mm ratchet socket, unscrew the nut connecting the tie rod to the steering knuckle. With a chisel and hammer, remove the fastening bolts. Take precise measurements of the position of the ball joint; a caliper can be used for this. Using an 18 mm socket wrench, loosen the lock nut connecting the tie rod to the bar; with an adjustable wrench, unscrew the tie rod from the steering bar. Now you can screw in a new tie rod end.
