Intercooler Disassembly Instructions

Model: Audi Tt MK 1, 8N - Years 1998-2006

The intercooler is a radiator that cools the air drawn into the engine: cooler air means denser air, and therefore, for the same volume of air intake, there will be a greater mass of air that requires more fuel, resulting in more power. This radiator is located in front of the right front wheel (passenger side). To remove it, first take off the bumper and the right headlight. Start by unscrewing all the mounting screws of the bumper, also removing the wheel well liners. Once the bumper and headlight are removed, disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses from the intercooler and complete the disassembly.
