Replacing the battery in the remote key with a transponder system (which means you can keep the key in your pocket and approach the vehicle to unlock it, then sit in the cabin to start the engine with the designated button) is very simple and you do not need to separate the shells that make up the remote itself; start by extracting the metal key from the back of the remote by pressing the designated button that releases it; at this point, right where the metal key slot is located, you will find the slot that holds the battery: simply remove it to perform the replacement.
