In this video, we see a common problem with Audi TT keys; when dropped, the key can break at its thinnest point, rendering both the key and remote unusable. Buying another key from Audi is very expensive; purchasing a blank key and having it cut by a locksmith proved impossible.

The YouTuber suggests contacting the website keysinthepost.com, where you can find replacement keys for most vehicles at affordable prices. After replacing the key, we need to reprogram the remote.

Insert the non-working key into the ignition and turn it two clicks to power on the cluster. Insert the working key into the driver’s door lock, turn it to the lock position, and turn it a second time to activate the process.

You will hear the doors unlock. Now, press the ignition button on the remote inside the car. The dashboard lights will start flashing; if it doesn’t work, repeat several times.

Press the unlock button on this remote: the lights should turn on again, and the locks should unlock. Turn off the car and remove the keys from the ignition.

Everything should work now, but it may take several attempts, and you might need to repeat the entire process.
