If the bulb of the rear position light of your BMW 3 Series burns out, replace it as soon as possible for your safety and to avoid fines. Open the trunk and position yourself in front of the housing that contains the bulb to be replaced; inside the side panel, you will find a small cover.

Open it to access the back of the housing. Remove the plate that holds the bulbs, twist and pull out the burnt bulb, and replace it with a new bulb.

Reinstall the plate and close the cover.
