How to Replace the Cigarette Lighter in a BMW

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013

The first step is to disconnect the battery cables to protect any sensitive circuits. To access the cigarette lighter, you need to remove most of the panels located at the base of the gear shift lever, as shown in the video. Use a plastic trim tool to avoid damaging the surrounding finishes. After lifting the panel, disconnect the plugs at the back for easier replacement. By prying on the two tabs that hold it in place, you can remove it from the back without too much trouble, and you're done!
