Opening the tailgate of the BMW 3 Series E90 with a flat battery

If the battery of the BMW 3 series is discharged, we must be able to open the rear hatch to access the old battery in order to replace it, which will be blocked in the absence of power. To open it, we access the rear seats, if our car is equipped with the internal ski hatch option, we lower the central armrest and reach the green handle on the hood ceiling to open it manually. If it does not have this accessory, we must resort to a more drastic solution: lower the armrest, remove the panel, make a hole in the second panel, remove a section of the lining and with the help of a hook pull the green handle.
