How do you remove the cooling radiator fan with viscous coupling on a BMW 5 Series? Let's see how to proceed: open the hood, and using a socket or wrench, remove the plates that secure the fan assembly to the radiator at the top. Then, lift the car on a column lift and remove the fasteners at the bottom. Once free from all the pins, remove the plastic covers and extract the fan assembly with the viscous coupling from the cooling radiator. Prepare to repair the viscous coupling or replace everything with new parts. Finally, reassemble all the components in reverse order.
