How to Remove the Key Fob Battery on BMW 3 Series

Let's see how to remove the key fob battery on BMW 3 Series: take your key fob and use a small screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key (split the covers in two as shown in the video). Pry until the two plastic parts separate, then, remove the dead battery with a screwdriver and get a new one of the same size and voltage. Take out the small battery in the cover and replace it with a new one, press on the key case until you hear it click into place. Finally, join the two covers and check the proper functioning of the remote.
