In order to reset the onboard computer of the BMW 3 Series after replacing the battery, you will first need to connect and secure the new battery in its housing: this will be located on the right side of the trunk. After installing the device, you will need to connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port: this will be located under the steering column. After the connection, you will need to follow the instructions shown in the video, selecting the correct car model and version: at the end of the reset, you can disconnect the scanner and verify that everything is working.
