To reset the onboard computer of the BMW 3 Series, turn the key to the "on" position to activate the instrument cluster, allowing you to use the radio controls. At this point, press the button with the upward arrow that ejects CDs and the center button of the radio simultaneously.

This will display "BMW" on the radio screen, and it will then turn off and automatically turn back on. By navigating through the menu, you will find that all settings of the onboard computer have been restored to their original state.
