- Years 2004-2013
The term CC-ID on a BMW vehicle refers to the check control identification code, which monitors the various functions of the car, and when a malfunction occurs, it displays an error message. Error messages can be cleared, once resolved, using the lever on the left side of the steering wheel, scrolling through the menu until reaching the "check" option, where we can see all the error messages that are stored, which can be viewed by holding down the "BC" button at the end of the lever; we will scroll through them by releasing the button gradually. Some of the most common ones are: 164 low windshield washer fluid level, 115 right reverse light bulb; 117 left reverse light bulb; e71 brake pad error. All codes are listed in the owner's manual.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?
To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube. by ScegliAuto More videos
