How do you reset the Service light on a BMW X5?

You can completely reset the Service warning light that appears on the instrument panel of the BMW X5 by turning on the ignition. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it: once the instrument panel is on, you can navigate through the menu by repeatedly pressing the button on the left side of the instrument panel. Once you locate the engine oil icon, you need to press and hold the button on the left side of the panel to reset the warning light. Once the reset is complete, you can turn off the instrument panel.
