How to convert the onboard computer from analog to digital on the BMW Series 1.

On the BMW Series 1, converting the instrument cluster to a digital version requires a mechanical phase and a coding phase. Disconnect the BMW Series 1, disassemble the dashboard frame, unscrew the original cluster, and disconnect the rear connector. Position the new digital cluster, connect the adapter if required, and secure it with screws, ensuring the screen is properly aligned in the housing. Reassemble the frame and reconnect the power to the car. Proceed with coding: connect the diagnostic interface and align the VIN and mileage to the correct values, then synchronize the CAS/immobilizer module to avoid error messages or warning lights. Set the vehicle configurations (engine type, tire sizes if required for speed, language/themes, and layout), check the signal functions (turn indicators, high beams, active system warning lights) and the panel lighting. Conclude with a test with the ignition on, ensuring that there are no anomalies on the BMW Series 1, that the warnings are consistent, and that the controls on the steering column are recognized.
