How to reset the service light on a BMW X1

Model: BMW X1 E84 - Years 2009-2015

To reset the service light on a BMW X1, enter the cabin and turn on the instrument cluster without starting the engine. Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the trip reset button on the instrument cluster until the maintenance menu appears. Briefly press the same button to scroll through the different options until you see the service to reset, such as the engine oil service. Press and hold the button again until the display shows the reset request. Release the button and press it again to confirm the operation. Wait for the new maintenance interval or the reset completed message to be displayed. Finally, turn off the ignition and turn it back on to verify the reset.
