Removing the Glove Compartment and Various Dashboard Plastics

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Open the glove compartment and remove the screws along the inner edges to take it out of its housing, disconnecting the courtesy light connectors. If the purpose of the removal is to install accessories and you need to run the related wiring, use a plastic trim tool to help move the moldings and/or seals through which to pass the cables; also, pay attention to the cable routing areas, avoiding contact with hot zones and/or moving parts. Use zip ties to secure the cables and electrical tape for any electrical connections.
