To access the resistor that controls the speed of the cabin fan, you need to remove several components (plastic covers, panels, ...) located on the passenger side, just below the glove compartment. Once the various covers are removed, start by disconnecting the actuator for the air deflectors, unplugging both the connector and the control cable.

Just behind the actuator is the resistor that regulates the cabin fan speed: unscrew the mounting screws and pull it out of its housing (the aluminum cooling fins are clearly visible).
