How to Change the Battery in a BMW 3 Key Fob

Is the battery in your BMW 3 key fob dead and needs replacing? Let's see how to change it. Take your key fob and remove the emergency key from inside. Use a small screwdriver to pry between the two halves of the plastic key cover until you detach the battery cover. Remove the dead battery from inside the key (using a small screwdriver). Install a new battery of the same size and voltage. Close the cover over the key by pressing it down. Check the proper functioning of the key fob: press the buttons on the key fob to see if it works. Reinsert the emergency key into the key cover after assembly.
