Removing the Left Front Door Panel of a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013

Tools needed: Latex gloves, T20 Torx wrench, plastic body clips. Manually remove the silver trim starting from the front and gently pulling; do not break the plastic tabs. Some may remain attached to the metal part of the door, but this is not a problem, they can be repositioned later. Remove the handle cover by gently pulling it from the bottom. Using the T20 Torx wrench, remove the 4 screws securing the door panel to the door (see video). Manually pull the panel from the bottom, starting from the lower right corner and then repeat the process on the lower left. Continue along the perimeter until the panel is completely detached from the door. WARNING: do not pull the panel towards you immediately; first, remove the connectors for the speaker, power window, and door lock handle from the back (see video). Inspect the free door, retrieve any seals or plastic connectors that will need to be repositioned on the panel during reassembly. Some of these plastic clips may have broken or deformed, so they need to be replaced. Follow the reverse procedure for reassembly.
