How to Reset the Engine Oil Light on a BMW Z4 E89

Model: BMW Z4 E85, E86 - Years 2002-2008

This short video tutorial explains how to reset the engine oil light on your BMW Z4 E89 (the procedure is the same for similar models, such as 128i, 135i, 328i, 335i, X5). If turning the key and starting the dashboard keeps the engine oil light on, there may be an issue with the engine oil level, which could be too low. If no abnormalities are diagnosed after proper checks and you want to reset the light, simply use the black button on the left side of the dashboard and the controls located on the left side of the steering wheel (up and down arrows and the bc button). Press and hold the black button on the dashboard, then click the oil level symbol and press and hold the bc button on the "reset" option. After a few seconds, everything should be resolved!
