Instructions to Reset the Service Light on BMW 3 Series E46

In this brief guide, you will find instructions to reset the service light for routine oil change maintenance on the BMW 3 Series E46, third generation. Get in the vehicle and turn the ignition key to position one; after five seconds, the reset message for the light will appear on the instrument cluster. At this point, press the button located on the left side of the cluster, holding it until the reset message appears; release the button and press it again when the new mileage interval shows up: then turn off the ignition!
