Reset the Service Light on BMW 3 Series E46

Resetting the oil change light on the BMW 3 Series E46 is very simple. Without starting the engine, press and hold the button below the instrument cluster until the reset screen appears as shown in the video. At this point, release the button and press it again until the reset starts flashing. When this happens, release the button again and press it one last time (you don't need to hold it now) and the reset will be completed. Turn off the ignition and turn it back on to verify that the procedure was successful. Remember to actually change the oil before resetting the light.
