How to Replace the Headlight Bulb on a BMW 3 Series E36

Before you begin, open the hood of your BMW 3 Series. Start by releasing the clip that secures the inner cover of the burnt-out bulb, then remove the cover itself. Next, disconnect the electrical connector that powers the burnt-out bulb. Once that is done, unclip the bulb from the headlight assembly. After you have freed the bulb, pull it out and remove it to complete the disassembly. To install the new bulb, follow these instructions in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
