Replacing the Belt Tensioner on the BMW 3 Series E46

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

In this video tutorial, you will see the main steps to remove and replace the belt tensioner on the BMW 3 Series E46. First, loosen the tensioner with a wrench to remove the serpentine belt; then use a hex key to unscrew the mounting bolt of the tensioner, as shown in the video. At this point, you can remove and replace the tensioner with a new one, using the original part; then simply reassemble everything by applying the reverse procedure of disassembly!
