Replacing the Shift Knob on BMW 5 Series

Before starting the shift knob replacement, remember to disconnect the battery for safety reasons. Once done, let's work on the shifter: pull the boot out of its housing using your hands as shown in the video.

Now, also by hand, remove the base of the shift lever from its housing. This step is necessary to later disconnect the shifter connector.

Once done, you are ready and safe to remove the shift knob: simply pull it with force to achieve this. Reverse the steps for reinstallation.

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
