How do you replace the battery in the BMW X1?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW X1, you have to open the hood to access the engine compartment. The battery will be located on the right hand side, immediately next to the engine and under the windshield. Before it can be accessed, the air filter box must be removed. Once the filter box is removed, it will be possible to disconnect the clamps from the battery and loosen the bolts that hold it fastened to its holder. The new battery can then be connected to the terminals and fixed with the relative bolts. Once installed, you will be able to refit the air filter box and close the hood.
