How to Remove the Driver's Airbag Module from the BMW 3 Series 320d E90

This guide shows how to remove the driver's airbag from the BMW 320d E90. To disassemble the airbag module from the steering wheel, locate the small recess on the back of the steering wheel and insert a flathead screwdriver to disengage the locking spring. Push the screwdriver toward the center of the steering wheel and downward, press the airbag lock inward, and then pull it out. After disconnecting the locking spring from the opposite side of the steering wheel, disconnect the connectors of the airbag module before fully removing it. Perform this operation carefully.
