BMW Serie 5 - Video tutorial
Model: BMW Serie 5
E39
- Years 1995-2003 To begin this operation it is advisable to wear protective clothing, then you can go on to unscrew the oil cap located on the engine head and remove the dipstick to check the oil level. Removing the plug and dipstick helps the oil flow out. The oil pan must be emptied by unscrewing the cap on the bottom and the oil is drained into a basin. While the oil is draining, you can move on to remove the paper filter which is placed inside a paper holder, assembled together with the crankcase. In addition to this operation, in the meantime, the air filter can also be removed. Once these operations have been carried out, you can move on to fill in new oil, but before doing so you need to screw the nut on the oil pan. Once this is done, you can pour the oil from the nozzle on the head, insert the dipstick for checking the level and screw the cap.
