Removal and Installation of the Camshaft Position Sensor

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

The necessary steps to perform the operation shown in the following guide consist of: 1) remove the battery cover of your car, 2) disconnect the negative battery cable, 3) remove the plug hole cover, 4) disconnect the sensor connector, 5) remove the installation bolt of the camshaft position sensor, 6) remove the sensor from the cylinder head cover. To proceed with the installation, simply reverse the steps. Ensure that the sensor you are installing is not contaminated with impurities that could lead to engine control deterioration.
