After prolonged use, the shift knob may have worn out and feel uncomfortable to the touch, so you may want to remove it for replacement. It is highly recommended to perform this operation with the engine off and the parking brake engaged.

Start by entering the cabin and sitting in the driver's seat. Using both hands, grip the shift knob firmly.

Then, pull upward with force. This will successfully disengage and remove the shift knob, allowing you to install the new one.
