Replacing the Key Battery on a BMW 1 Series

Press the button at the top of the remote and pull out the manual spare key from the casing. Now, use a small flat-head screwdriver to pry in the gap left by the key and remove the cover that acts as the battery lid. Take out the old battery and insert the new one you purchased. It is a CR2032 and can be easily found in any hardware store or large supermarkets. Refit the cover and insert the manual spare key, then check its operation. As you can see, this is a task within everyone's reach.
