How to Remove the Oil Heat Exchanger from the BMW 1 Series with N47 Engine

To replace the oil heat exchanger on the BMW 1 Series with the N47 engine, open the bonnet to access the intake manifold. This will allow you to disconnect the water pump connector, giving you access to the six screws that secure the oil heat exchanger. Once these six screws are loosened, you can remove the oil heat exchanger and replace it with a new spare part. After the replacement, refit all the components you removed.
